Permanent Ban Support

This page covers permanent bans on Global Retake official and community servers, including cheating, exploits, and severe staff-reviewed rule violations.

Permanent bans are rarely reversed without a strong reason. If you appeal, keep it respectful and include real details.

What permanent bans cover

Permanent bans are for the most serious behavior we deal with.

  • Using cheats, scripts, macros, or any external software that gives an unfair advantage.
  • Exploiting game bugs, server glitches, or other mechanics to abuse gameplay.
  • Severe targeted hate, extremist content, or discriminatory abuse aimed at minorities or protected groups.
  • Impersonation of staff, other players, or deliberately offensive names that violate community standards.

How our systems enforce rules

Permanent bans are issued by staff review. We do not use the old auto-ban or auto-kick system anymore.

Current filters

  • The current filter mainly blocks links and non-ASCII characters.
  • The filter does not automatically ban or kick players.
  • Permanent bans happen after staff review, not because of an automatic word trigger.

Context matters. Offensive language alone is not treated the same as targeted hate or coordinated abuse.

Discipline and escalation

Staff look at what happened, how serious it was, and whether it has happened before.

Appealing a permanent ban

Appeals are only worth submitting if the ban was clearly wrong or the account was compromised.

  • Share your Steam profile link.
  • Include the server name and time of the ban.
  • Explain why you believe the ban was wrong.
  • Provide evidence if you think the context was misunderstood.

Appeal channels

  • Open a ticket through the Global Retake Discord: discord.gg/zawBAWuYEg.
  • Use one appeal at a time and wait for a response instead of opening duplicates.

What to avoid

  • Do not insult or pressure staff; it hurts your case.
  • Do not submit multiple duplicate appeals.
  • Do not lie about the situation; honesty improves review accuracy.
